Kenneth Cao, O.D.

Dr. Cao recognizes that navigating health and vision care can be overwhelming, and he is dedicated to making information clear, accessible, and easy to understand for every patient.

Dr. Cao was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley to Vietnamese immigrant parents. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. Pursuing his passion for education and advanced clinical training, Dr. Cao completed his residency at the Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System. He also completed clinical training at Indian Health Service hospitals in Oklahoma and Arizona, a Veterans Affairs hospital in Nevada, and within an underserved community in Los Angeles.
Dr. Cao is deeply committed to caring for his community and supporting those around him wherever he practices. He served on a medical mission trip to Vietnam with the Project Vietnam Foundation and volunteered at local community events in Los Angeles, including LA Care Harbor and the Special Olympics Lions Club Opening Eyes program. He recognizes that navigating health and vision care can be overwhelming, and he is dedicated to making information clear, accessible, and easy to understand for every patient. He is honored to serve alongside Dr. Katie Chu and her team as an associate doctor.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Cao enjoys exploring local Korean barbecue restaurants, sipping on boba tea, and biking around the scenic Santa Fe Dam. He also treasures time with friends and family, often gathering for a fun and spirited game of Mahjong.
